Amazing selection of vintage cameras. Itβs like visiting a mini-camera museum. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I did have some issues getting my film developed, mainly twice they did not contact me and had difficulties finding my records when the film was ready. It was ultimately resolved so no harm, no foul but it left me a little nervous for future visits. If you are interested in film photography, this place is definitely worth a visit.
I have gone into this store two times in the last month. Two separate men working the desk each time. First time I went to purchase some film and look at lens for my camera. When I asked about a lens, the man asked where I got my camera and got all judgmental because I bought it in an auction on eBay, lectured me that I probably got garbage cause that guy on eBay sells crap. Guy on eBay??? There are so many sellers on eBay, I thought that was an odd thing to say. He had the lens I wanted, but I decided I didnβt like the vibe and since the film was $6 bucks more expensive there than other shops in seattle I didnβt grab any film either. Went back again because I wanted to check to see about a lens I was hoping to find in the wild. Different person working this time and after waiting patiently in line, I asked if he had seen on recently, and he just dismissed me. ZERO CONCERN FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have a film lab I drop my stuff off in Edmonds that does great work, fair prices on film, and most of all, they are excited to talk about film and care for their customers. Never going to talk of Shot on Film to anyone after this and I will just act like it doesnβt exist, kinda how they treat people themselves. Good luck.
Honestly one of the most frustrating purchases Iβve made in a long time. I bought a Cinestill C-41 developer kit here, and what I got was basically useless, clearly old, clearly not something that should still be on a shelf. It ruined my confidence in this store instantly. It really makes me question how seriously this place takes quality control. Selling film chemistry that looks like itβs been sitting around forever is unacceptable in 2025, especially when customers rely on freshness to avoid destroying their work. After this experience Iβm personally steering clear, and Iβd warn anyone else to be extremely careful before buying anything here. Check every date, every box, donβt assume theyβve done it for you. I walked in expecting a reliable shop. I left feeling like I have to double-check everything because I donβt trust their stock at all. There are plenty of other stores such as online and/or other local shops where the stock is newer and better cared for.
