I was very displeased with the so-called service I received from Jeremy at Shelatz Appliance. I called for service for my refrigerator ice machine not putting out ice. He came in and looked under my sink at the water line and the reverse osmosis filters and said, “it could be a number of things but first you need a plumber before I can do anything”. He never looked at the freezer ice machine and never took any tools from his tool bag but charged me $20.00 for labor. The definition of labor is “work performed” which he did not do. He charged me $79.95 for a service call and $6.75 tax. He did give me a 30 day warranty on the service call and said, “before I can continue you need a plumber to install separate valves for the sink, reverse osmosis, and refrigerator “. I believe a service call should include diagnosing the problem, identifying fixes and performing necessary repairs, which was incomplete for the charges billed me.
