disapointing, while the staff was very friendly and customer service was fine. I took in my 2000 Toyota Avalon that was leaking power steering fluid. After complete diagnostic I was given a list of repairs that needed to be done. Started off Rack and Pinion replaced as well as replaced axle shaft. Fixed in timely manner but when I picked the car up my CVS light was on and wouldnt go off. Called back and was told to bring car back in to check. Mind you my light was not on when i took the car in and there was no mention of an issue on the diagnostic report given. Seems a little strange this problem popped up after you all serviced my car. Of course they wanted to do another diagnostic to determine what the problem was that only began once my car was returned.but was never mentioned in the original diagnostic and light was never on before taking the car in Lost confidence in the honesty of this establishment. Can't afford to pay for one repair and go home with a new problem.

American Pride in Yorktown and their staff are exemplary and will be who we always trust with our vehicle needs and maintenance! We were able to go online to schedule our vehicle for a state inspection, which is so helpful with work schedules. The night before our scheduled inspection, our vehicle got a flat tire. I called first thing in the morning, spoke with TC, and he was very understanding and immediately moved our appointment to the following week. The appointment was initially scheduled as a drop off, but my husband happened to have that day off and I forgot to change it from a drop off to having him wait for it. When he arrived with no other way to get home, TC and John moved some things around and John completed the inspection in a timely manner that he didn't have to wait long at all. John was very professional and honest. My husband received the full break down of the inspection and John went over everything with him.

My Toyota RAV4 was due for the annual inspection so I checked on line for a local shop to perform that inspection. I chose American Pride and I am so glad I did. From the minute I walked in the front door I was immediately greeted with a smile and a "How may I help you?" I had made my appointment on line so they knew why I was there. I was informed of the waiting area complete with snacks and bottled water. Cleanest lobby I've ever seen! Pictures were taken all around my car immediately and then it was off to get the inspection. The communication through the whole process was amazing complete with pictures of my car including tire tread and several text messages about the progress of my visit. I believe it was TC at the counter that told me about the referral program and even used a $5 coupon toward the price of the inspection. I left there a very happy customer. I will definitely be back and will be glad to refer your shop to my friends!

I should start by sayin that when I bought my new car from a dealership, I was swayed by the “free maintenance for life” that was never actually free, so I used them instead of American Pride for 6 years. Big mistake. Toyota didn’t do half the work they said they had done, which is the only reason I needed service to begin with. That brings us to the present: It was below freezing, and my car didn’t start. Within seconds of reaching out to American Pride, they promised to look at it that day and give me answers. An hour later, I had a full diagnostic evaluation and recommendations. They had me fixed up in a heartbeat. This place is so spectacular, I want to shout it from the rooftops! They have REAL mechanics. They know how to effectively communicate and listen to your needs. They are FAST and they are knowledgeable, and they treat you like you matter. I will never take my car to anyone else ever again. Six years old, and my car feels brand new again. I LOVE this shop.
