Really want to give them NO stars! Had a new 96% efficiency HVAC system installed in our small attic space on June 2025, at a cost of $9,000 by A to Z heating & cooling, McMinnville, TN. The unit leaked condensate (-water) in at least two places and the A to Z installer attempted on 6 separate visits to remedy the problem but never did, and on one of the visits, he yelled at us for complaining! So, we decided to have two other contractors look at the system – they both stated that the installed unit was the wrong type and not properly installed, that it should have been an 80% efficiency unit, which does not produce so much condensate for the location, a small attic space, and that the vent to the roof needed to be PVC, rather than metal, for a 96% unit. (Note that A to Z installer did not even properly connect the HVAC exhaust vent from the unit to the roof outlet, but instead only used putty to join the two sections, PVC to metal, which were never properly sealed, as well as improperly connecting the indoor PVC section to an outside metal vent pipe, instead of installing a new PVC roof vent pipe)-see picture. One problem after another! Such as duct tape had been used to hold the coil to the unit’s outside metal, and the tape was peeling off; It was a nightmare experience and more problems than listed here. -due to faulty installation and costly for us too. - we are still in shock over the long list of problems...
