Over nine months ago, we paid a $12,000 deposit and were told the pool shell needed to be ordered immediately. We were repeatedly promised installation “within two weeks,” but nothing ever moved forward.
We were assured the shell had been ordered and given distributor names, yet every distributor confirmed no order existed and no verification could be provided. This was not a scheduling delay, but a clear pattern of misrepresentation.
A refund was promised through the BBB but never issued. I’m sharing this so others can make informed decisions and proceed with caution.
Exactly how a business should be run! Really excellent work, high quality. We are very happy with our new retaining walls. Very careful while doing the work. Prompt communication, great at answering questions and giving us different options. They paid attention to what we wanted. We talked to a lot of companies when we were ready to start the project and none came close to the level of detail/communication/effort to do what was needed so that we could be confident in our choices.
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the handling of my pool installation project and the misrepresentations made by your company.
On April 11, we placed a deposit with your company to reserve our installation spot and to ensure that the fiberglass pool shell would be ordered immediately, as you stated it needed to be ordered that same day. Our property was fully prepared and ready for installation.
In August, we contacted your office to notify you that it was time to begin the project. At that time, we were told that installation would begin within two weeks. Since then, every two weeks we were given another delay, without any firm commitment or clear explanation.
Your staff repeatedly told us that the pool shell had been ordered and provided us with several different distributor or manufacturer names. We contacted each of these companies directly, and all of them confirmed that no order had ever been placed under our name or your company’s name. One company even stated that they refuse to do business with your company altogether.
This constitutes not only unacceptable delays, but also misrepresentation about the status of our order and the progress of our project.
We got the BBB involved they told the BBB they would send a refund that never happened, we have filed complaints with consumer protection agency. We have an appointment with the Tennessee Attorney General this week.
The reason I am providing this review is Inthink it’s important that the public understands and should stay clear of organizations that only Put themselves first and take advantage of the consumers
We love our pool! Tiera, Joe and the entire team from A Cut Above did an outstanding job. I cannot recommend them enough. Every day in my back yard feels like I’m at a resort. We are so happy with their work!
A Cut Above made our back yard dream come true! This crew can do it all! Joe, Tiera, and their crew exceeded our expectations on our pool, tanning ledge, rock wall with water spills, pavers, and pool house! They worked day and night until completion and located materials during all the shortages. We have enjoyed our pool for 2 summers and have had no problems. We would use them again without hesitation.
