I had an issue with my laptop and took it to Kris, at Wicked Fast PC Repair. He did his diagnostics on it and solved the lag and other issues promptly. I highly recommend Kris for all your electronic devices! His prices are fair and his expertise, second to none.
I brought in my laptop as the fan was making a weird noise. It didn't take him long to confirm what I figured was wrong, and after taking a look at the fans in my laptop was able to order replacements. Once the replacements arrived, it only took a few hours for him to fix-it, and I was able to take it home. Will definitely be bringing this back to him if I need any more repairs.
He fixes things fast yes. The prices are fair. But he only stands by his work for 30 days. I had a 200 dollar part from a 400 dollar job fail in 6 months. Not only did he not have a clue who I was but he also didnt seem to care at all. So from this I would conclude that even he is not surprised that the parts he chooses fail quickly. Also when I went to pick up my pc the lady standing in for him treated me like dirt, totally vicious demeanor. I like the idea of saving a few bucks but not at the expense of my dignity. Take my advice buy yourself a new laptop for not much more than a repair and a kick in the pants will cost ya.
The tech fixed the issue with my PC and reloaded windows onto the correct drive. Happy to have my computer working right again. Pricing / communication is an issue though. In talking to the owner on the phone I was quoted $140 - $150, but when I picked it up the price was $260. I don’t know if he forgot to quote labor during the first conversation or charged more because, as he said on the phone, it was a frustrating job. But the surprise higher price wasn’t very pleasant. Edit after response: The potential higher price was definitely not mentioned - the only price I heard on the phone was 110 for the reloading and 30-40 for a diagnostic f... I was told I was looking at around 150. This needs to be more clearly stated if a higher price is a possibility. A brand new customer won’t know otherwise. I understand things happen, every job is different, but communication is key so that there’s no surprise price. Service was good, but just double check on pricing if you’re looking to get work done.

Ultimately, he found that there was a virus that had slipped past my Norton anti-virus which was eating up memory. There was a high likelihood my computer would have crashed if I hadn't brought it in. He went over my options with me and helped me get the best for me. Ultimately, he cleaned the hard drive, reinstalled the important programs, did a check on my external drive and the computer came back to me as good as (or I say better than) new.
