The old-timers used to say that if you need it, Samson's had it. That's still true today. Have a nice variety of your general hardware but if you're looking for specialty items, especially those old-time hardware store things like oil lamps, quality pottery and cast-iron Sampson's is the place to go. If you can't find what you're looking for you better ask. The folks at work there really know their stock and they can find it faster than you can yourself.
Samson's in the coolest hardware store I have ever been to. They have extremely knowledgable and personable staff, and all sorts of items that you will not find anywhere else in town (possibly Alaska). Prices are always very reasonable. Quite possibly my favorite store in town.
I love going into Samson’s Hardware Store. Everything you need at the highest quality is here. I love the old fashion feel of the store. I would rather shop here than anywhere. For the quality, variety and the helpful, knowledgeable staff. This is run by people who care that you get what you need and are treated with personal attention and a friendly neighborly attitude. Great place for hard to find items. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's the kind of hardware store every city used to have. Many items for living the Alaska lifestyle. Better experience than any box store can offer!
Best staff in the world. Ever. To exist, on earth. If I had to buy wares, it would be theirs. But there's no chairs. Prices are fair, traps and snares. Paint and tools, wrenches and rules. Oldest store in town, and they get down🤘🤘🤘🤘
