RT'S Heating and Cooling | HVAC Georgetown OH

Our unit froze up- I called RT’s because they were locally owned and said they were Vet owned. My unit was diagnosed with a bad coil. I was told they could replace the whole unit for cheaper than a coil itself.. I agreed ( almost $4000) . Once installed I was told that they had to bypass a defrost board to get the unit to work. Then they came out a few times in the next couple weeks because it still wasn’t working. I got back from vacation to find out it wasn’t working so I called again- was told some one would be out the next day.. at almost 8 PM someone showed up .. no calls that day for a time estimate so I sat at my house all day waiting. Finally got it working except for the defrost board still needing to be installed.. I called , sent text no response. Finally spoke to the owner and he said let me check and I’ll call you back- -2 weeks later I call again- finally got it scheduled.. after it was “fixed”🤞.. I was told I owed another over $300 and they charged me $90 for a diagnostic check ( they already knew what was wrong from the previous visits) No communication for 2 months after the initial install was I ever advised of additional cost. When questioned about it owner blamed the technician and both “assumed” I knew it was additional . The lack of communication from this company is what drives the star rating to a -1.. I hate leaving bad reviews but this has been a terrible experience from the start.. Communication is the key to a good business and keeping customers happy.. from my experience they need a lot of work in that department.. if you don’t care for good communication and having to keep chasing them down to fix what you paid for then they are for you!
