LEATHER SPA Repair Facility

I’m so excited to have received my shoes back and over the moon with the results of my shoe repair! I had an unfortunate incident where the heels on my Tod’s ankle boots just broke off without realizing it. And while wearing my favorite Ermanno Scervino embroidered heels out to a gala, the heels broke and the soles were disintegrating. I used to have a cobbler I went to maintain my shoes when I lived in Italy. I wasn’t quite sure I’d find anyone as good here in the U.S. as specialty repair places are harder to come by these days. A friend told me about Leather Spa & how they’ve gotten such great reviews so I figured it couldn’t hurt to try! I took the before pictures and sent them in. I’m just so impressed at the beautiful condition they’re now in. I can’t recommend them enough! I now know where to send my favorite shoes for a continued new lease on life!

I wanted to share my extraordinary experience with this team: recently I came across a vintage Louis Vuitton bag that my mother purchased in Paris in 1957. She had not stored it particularly well, so therefore there was significant damage to almost all of the leather as it had dry rotted away. The canvas itself, however, was in perfect condition and so I wanted to restore the bag. I naturally went to the Louis Vuitton store on 5th Avenue in New York and they consulted with me on the bag and ultimately said it would be too difficult for them to restore, and they would not do it for me regardless of cost. And then I approached leather spa with whom might have a positive experience in the past on several shoe repairs, including ironically, a pair of Louis Vuitton boots! They were able to diagnose the bag through imagery, accepted the request and within about a month, I picked up this astonishingly beautiful repaired bag. I’m absolutely blown away by the quality of the repair itself: we did adjust the color of the straps to make it a bit more modern and to my eye, it looks absolutely perfect. They were able to reuse the original zipper, the metal studs and rivets, and even the original lock clasp. Each edge has been wonderfully detailed and I’m delighted to be able to put this into use again and think about my mom while utilizing it. definitely this team is up to most difficult task and excels in delivering a quality product.
