It’s refreshing to work with someone who’s both knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. I really appreciated how smoothly everything went. My mom brought her car in because her car would not go into drive one day and we brought it to Harold’s and they immediately accepted her car as a drop off within 4 to 5 hours. They gave us a very detailed report on the issues that she was experiencing even outside of the transmission problems that we had initially reported this business did a really great job helping my mom to understand in Laymans terms what was going on with her vehicle and also very polite and caring and really seemed to take interest in making sure that she was safe and getting back on the road. We ultimately determined that it was best to just do a trade-in on her vehicle but in order to get it where it was going, we needed to get the transmission fluid topped off and the business helped my mom completely without taking money as their top priority and taking her vehicle and getting to and from her destination safely as a top priority. I’m very thankful. This is an honest business.

Worst Experience Ever – Avoid This Place at All Costs I don’t even know where to start. My experience with this mechanic shop was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. (still not finished) First of all, communication was completely nonexistent. I dropped off my car for a strange noise under the hood which ended up being a lower rod knock, which in turn caused for an engine swap on my vehicle. between them and my warranty I didn’t hear a word from them until I called to check in. Even then, I had to practically drag information out of them. Every time I asked for updates or clarification on what was being done, I was either ignored or given vague answers. It felt like they were doing everything in their power to avoid talking to me. But it gets worse. The engine put in my car was a completely different one from the one I was told they were going to put in my vehicle. (44k).They put a different engine in my car without my consent. (67k). I had no idea they were going to do that. When I picked up my car, I was shocked to learn that they had swapped out my engine with one that wasn’t the one for my car. No one told me about this major change, and I was left dealing with the aftermath. If I had wanted a higher mileage engine, I would’ve approved it first. Totally unethical. To make things even more frustrating, my suspension is now squeaking every time I drive. After I received my car back there’s this constant, annoying noise that wasn’t there before. And the worst part? When I asked them about it, they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Oh, and did I mention the check engine light? It’s been on since I got my car back, and I’ve taken it back to them three to four times to address it. And is still on as i’m writing this review. This doesn’t include the 3 months it took to get my car back from the shop, getting charged for diagnostics fees for a check engine light that is caused by THEM. The old manager Devan that worked there was very kind and am highly grateful for his patience and the way he does business. But the current Manager there is atrocious and does anything she can to take blame off the shop, even though I KNOW what happened to MY CAR and NO ONE can tell me otherwise. After she blatantly told me that “everything checked out okay on their end” she gave me a number to a person named Matt to pursue this issue further and i’ve been calling for weeks and i’ve gotten no response and no call back. Long story short, this place has bad quality of work, especially on my car. Terrible customer service, lack of transparency, they don’t know what they’re doing and they charge a premium for it. (180/hr) I’m out a lot of money and even more time, and I still have a car that is celebrating the holidays because of the all the lights on the dash that weren’t there prior to bringing it to the shop. I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and avoid this shop.
