If you are looking for a trustworthy HVAC technician. Look no farther then Shawn and his team at Degree Above Heating and Air LLC. He did not just come out and try to force a new unit on me. He opened it up explained what was wrong and gave me how much it would be to fix it vs how much to replace. I had a 23-year-old unit so it was more cost efficient to replace, but with out Shawn patiently sitting with me I would have been lost. He was very easy to talk to and gave me a sense of confidence that he knew what he was doing. He has worked for everyone from your mom-and-pop operations to big chains and shows that expertise through his work and knowledge. He told me the pro and cons of each system even though it might have been common sense. Everyone I talked to said his prices seemed reasonable. When he makes an appointment, he is in constant contact with you and punctual. Him and his team said they were going to show up 9:00am-10:00am to replace my HVAC and they were there at 9:00am. Degree Above Heating and Air LLC stands behind their work with not just a 1-year labor contract, but 2 years which is above and beyond the standard. What really set him apart is he was willing to go to Virginia from North Carolina which is a 6-8 hour trip on a good day the same day he gave me a quote day and drive back for a Dual- Fuel unit that might even be there just to make me happy. He said it wasn't there he wouldn't even charge me for the trip which shows how much he wants to do right by the customer. He even said, if possible, I could have heat that night and I believed he would do everything in his power to complete that task. He might bite off more than he can chew at some points, but he stands behind his customer service. I know if he ran into issues in Virginia, I would have had an appointment that next morning if possible that day at the latest and an alternative unit of that caliper ex. a split unit was a option for a little more money.
