Estimate was given very quickly over the phone without any visit needed, they seemed to only need the square footage or the number of vents in the house. Their technician, Ivory, was running a few minutes behind the scheduled time but he made sure to call me right before the initial scheduled time to inform me he was running late. He showed up and got to work as soon as I showed him the vents in question, he didn't need much more input on how to get access and where to get power, he seemed to be a great -self-starter- and got to work very promptly. Apparently my air vents and ducts were fairly clean but I was very glad they were able to c... He showed up and got to work as soon as I showed him the vents in question, he didn't need much more input on how to get access and where to get power, he seemed to be a great -self-starter- and got to work very promptly. Apparently my air vents and ducts were fairly clean but I was very glad they were able to clean out and check my dryer vents while we were here. It was only then since we bought the house three (3) years ago that the previous owners had the dryer vents improperly installed! Either way, the bill was well worth the peace of mind to have the most clean air possible for our 7 month old son.
We called Mad Hatter because our dryer vent needed to be cleaned out so we had all air vents cleaned making sure to tell techs that the dryer needed to be cleaned. They only cleaned the dryer vent from the outside and this didn’t fix my dryer problem so they came back to clean from inside. When they got here they wanted to go in the attic since our washer/dryer is upstairs. While up there they turned my furnace off thinking it was a light switch! So we woke up on a frigid morning to no heat! Thankfully our hvac person suggested we check to see if the switch was off or on. NOW I go to use the dryer and it sounds like a wind tunnel so we checke... We called Mad Hatter because our dryer vent needed to be cleaned out so we had all air vents cleaned making sure to tell techs that the dryer needed to be cleaned. They only cleaned the dryer vent from the outside and this didn’t fix my dryer problem so they came back to clean from inside. When they got here they wanted to go in the attic since our washer/dryer is upstairs. While up there they turned my furnace off thinking it was a light switch! They did a great job with our dryer vent cleaning! Both the Technician (Quintin) and Owner (Tony) were very friendly and professional. Best price in the area too. We were referred to Mad Hatter by Raleigh HVAC as they don’t perform this service.
Very pleased. The phone operator and both technicians were all very professional. They fixed the problem quickly and affordably. My dryer vent was obstructed and they were able to clean it out from the inside and from the outside, now my dryer works again and says it has good airflow. The only critique I have is that the first technician did not bring equipment to clean the vent from the outside and they had to send another technician a few hours later. It would’ve been nice if they were able to do everything all at once but no big deal at all. It got done and I’m very happy with it.
Technicians Ivory and Dee were very professional and treated our home with respect. They laid down cloths for their equipments to protect the floors, put booties on their shoes and had masks on. They did a very good job on both our air ducts and sweeping the chimney. And believe me, our chimney and air ducts were very dirty!!! There was one air vent the was missed. My house is a mess right now so I’m not surprised they missed a vent. But when I called the Mad Hatter, no questions asked except for my address, they are coming back to address the issue. And was also told that if I find anything else to let the technicians know. Now that is serv... Technicians Ivory and Dee were very professional and treated our home with respect.
