I recently had my grandmother’s treadle sewing machine refinished. It was in rough shape when I dropped it off. The cabinet was water damaged and there were broken and missing pieces. It looks amazing! The cabinet looks brand new and the machine is all cleaned up.I am so pleased with the restoration. The owner is a true craftsman!
Unbelievable restoration on a family heirloom. We had been to several other restoration places who advised us to throw it away. Instead, owner Bill Belmonte and his crew worked their magic. We were able to keep the sewing machine almost 100% original. The price was reasonable.
Bill at Best-Way is an artist. He refinished an 1924 dressing table for me. He made the process easier and painless . He came to the house to pick up the piece, took it back to his shop and got started. I was even able to pick out the two-tone color of stain on the piece. Once completed it was delivered to our house. Bill is professional and does a fabulous job. I HIGHLY recommend him for any of your refinishing needs. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Bill at Best-Way is the best. You just don't find this level of customer service, along with excellent quality workmanship. Sent him photos of my project, and old family heirloom dresser which had dried out dovetail drawer joints, and numerous areas where the mahogany veneer was loose or missing, as well as needing to be refinished. He provided an estimate quickly over the phone, explaining what would probably be involved, and I dropped the unit off the following week. A couple of weeks later he called, and was ready for me to come in and pick a new finish color. In the shop he was able to show me what a couple different finish options would look like, right on the unit itself, and I picked out my flavor. About a week and a half later he called, unit was ready.
When I got to the shop, I was flabbergasted at how nice it now looked. And what I owed was $100 less than the rough estimate he had quoted earlier, how often does that happen...lol.
You can't go wrong at this place from what I have experienced, thanks Bill for your efforts!
