We found Jim’s’ shop through my daughter‘s private instructor who is in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.We worked closely with Jim and just purchased a great new viola bow. I’m so thrilled that we found his shop. Highly recommended.
Washington Fine Violins and The Bow Shop of Washington have been absolutely wonderful with our young players (violin and bass). Jerry and Jim have both taken lots of time and care helping them choose and maintain great equipment. They treated our teens with respect and kindness, answering questions and providing lots of great options. We are grateful for their time and quality workmanship and equipment.
My son recently broke his bow and we needed a replacement. We had a wonderful experience purchasing from Washington Fine Violins. Jim provided a wide selection for him to try and the whole process was seamless, even over the holidays. Parking is always a worry for me in DC, coming from NoVA, but it’s such an easy drive and metered spots are right near by plus the garage. Highly recommend Washington Fine Violins!
We had a wonderful experience at Washington Fine Violins. Mr. Kelly was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. My daughter had been searching for the right violin for a long time, and after visiting at least five different shops (each shop more than once!), Mr. Kelly made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. He helped my daughter find the perfect violin, and we couldn’t be happier. Mr. Kelly truly cares about helping musicians find what works best for them. He also communicated directly with my daughter’s teacher to make sure everything was set up for her success, which we really appreciated. We also had a really positive experience with Alfred (Washington Violin Repair). We were able to get repairs done on another violin at the same time, which was incredibly convenient, and the work was excellent. Being able to handle everything in one place made the whole visit even better and we will bringing all our future repair needs here! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and my daughter is absolutely thrilled with her new violin. I highly recommend Washington Fine Violins!
