My wife and I have used sutter to install gas fireplaces (Valor and Mendota) in both houses we've lived in. Not only are the fireplaces amazing and a great addition to the house but Sutter has been exceptional to work with. First, they are extremely knowledgeable. You walk in with a million questions and walk out with answers! They provide clear information to help you make a decision and aren't pushy about it. Pre install, they come to your house and measure everything to ensure everything will fit just right. They do custom surrounds to match your house's unique style and provide good design direction. Install is smooth (so much that even the inspectors were impressed) and the handoff is seamless. I can't recommend Sutter enough and would highly recommend them for your gas fireplace needs!

I’m disappointed to be leaving a poor review for Sutter Home & Hearth because every person I interacted with was professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the service experience itself fell short. We had technicians out twice within the past month, and I was charged for the second visit even though the issue should have been identified and resolved during the first visit, which already cost close to $800. The follow-up visit was necessary because something was missed the first time. This situation could have been easily resolved—and this review avoided—by waiving the service charge for the second visit. I expected better accountability given the cost of the initial service.
