Years ago we had the window in our car just drop- like it went off track but didn't break the window... cost us somewhere between 200 or 300 for a new motor for the window.. looking back i think it just fell off track and he may have acted like it was the motor (even though ive always been able to hear the motor moving when i push the button) and let's just say within about 4 months of driving-- my "fixed" window once again "dropped" or aka fell of track like before it was fixed and is now still to this day being held up by a piece of wood lodged in and tape wrapped around the wood to hold the window up. Why?? because the thought of spending hundreds AGAIN because thats what he said.. is not worth it to us, we dont have money like that to fix things over and over as long as the vehicle runs. I only leave this review now years later because I saw someone else on Facebook just complain about the SAME issue not getting fixed properly. ALSO after the window was fixed we had a "new issue start that of course he said he could fix for money! Our vent for the heat/air to come out WAS BROKEN(he stated that the plastic can break easily when dried out, I thing he accidentally hit the dashboard when working on our window and broke the vents exterior plastic and the broken piece fell into the dash and starting making this "spinning/clicking broke plastic" sound... anyways he said it would be a cheap easy fix, so we had him fix it... mind you it only made the noise when first started for a few minutes or when we changed the air from hot to cold and stuff. Not a huge deal but after he fixed it (Yes we had to wait for a part to come in to replace a broken plastic piece) it stopped making the sound YAY, for a good couple weeks. Then it started again and still does the same sound for a few minutes when we start the car-- to this day. It's an older vehicle 2004, but in great shape before the window and vent.. The only things wrong with the vehicle is the window we cant use, and the sound from the vent up front. Not worth paying to get it fixed AGAIN!! We have a garage thank God, but the window does suck when it comes to driving in the rain, and cold because its cracked open a tiny bit.. but the most annoying part was that the window prevented me from continuing to doordash since I had to always open my door, where i can not roll up and down my driver window. Anyways My point is- if you want something fixed quickly for a cheaper price by ray-- sure. If you want for it to actually be fixed correctly and ethically (aka the new parts you bought) go somewhere else. That is just my personal opinion, from our experience using this man. My husband loves him-- but i am starting to look back and just be upset at the whole situation and what a scam that was... at least that's what I feel like happened. A scam. I told my husband about a year ago to stop even getting the oil changed by him, because he didn't even top off basic fluids like he says he will!! They even forgot to FULLY tighten the cap for where you add oil once so it got oil on the engine once, not a lot but it should have been properly tightened/closed.... I dont like this place, I think ray was friendly and made us feel comfortable about the prices and quick work- but in the end I believe he "Jerry rigged" things, or used USED parts that failed quickly because if that's not the case then its just HIS WORK is bad...but to me- either way it is NOT WORTH IT! Just pay a little more and have it done properly by someone who will hold up to there work, and not talk about another payment for something that should have been done the correct way in the first place. I am a girl and I do not know Anything about cars so I hope that I explained it all properly to at least make sense. Lol .... Anyways, good luck everyone. ❤️
