Sub-Zero and Viking appliance repair

This company gets kudos for prompt service. However, after diagnosing an issue for my oven, their repair estimate was $1400. They offered to expedite the order for the part for an additional $240. The part needed was for a relay board which, after more research, costs the consumer $600 on the upper end of the scale pricing. So if my math is correct, this company wanted to up charge me at least $1000. I used another company (local, in business for 10+ years, reputable). They scheduled to repair my oven for about $500 and they’ll deduct the service fee of $170. I see a lot of good reviews here which are probably legit, but this wasn’t my experience.

I am giving Freedome Breeze 3 stars because initially they responded quickly. They sent out a tech in a couple of hours and he was really professional. I was told that I would get an email with information for the repair, however I never got an email. Even if they couldn’t repair the problem at very least I was expecting a follow up letting me know that. I ended up calling them to follow up and they assured me I should be receiving an email soon and the email never came. So again at first very good but terrible follow through.
