Spring Hill Chimney Service

I am so disappointed in the service I received from Spring Hill. I have an antique wood stove that has been in my family for 125+ years, and has been in my home since 1972. Every year we have it cleaned and serviced. This year we decided to try a new company, Spring Hill Chimney instead of the one we have used for the past few years after seeing them at the GDS fair. Their technician spent the entire appointment telling me that he couldn’t believe we have insurance, and we really should “update” our stove. When I asked him what that actually meant, he said replace it of course. Not interested. Then he decided to tell me about all the “bigger, nicer homes” that he’s worked in that have had to get new stoves. He also had no idea how to clean the stove and I should have asked him to leave when he actually asked me to tell him how to clean it! Several times I found myself telling him what the other company did! Seriously?! By the time he left I was furious. I immediately called and asked for a supervisor and was told that one would call me the next day. Of course no one bothered to call. So in addition to a horrible upsell appointment I wasn’t even worth a phone call the next day. Needless to say I would never use them again. Never. I hope I can save one person from wasting their nearly $200 as I did.
