Cooper was my service specialist. He went above and beyond for me! He spent a couple hours diagnosing and resolving the issue with my furnace. As a Veteran on a fixed income, I truly appreciated how thorough and friendly he was. Highly recommended. Thank you so much, Cooper!
12-5-25 technicians arrived to service my heat. They broke my water spicket and water was spraying everywhere. We turned the water off to the house and I was told they cleaned my coils and called a plumber whom would be by 10am 12-6-25 Saturday and asked for a towel. My mother in law suite was flooded with the damaged they caused.
On Sat the first technician showed said he was waiting for the guy. I was in my house and I noticed the water was back on. I went outside to see two Reid HVAC techintians and no plumber like I was told and they cut a hole in my house and soldered off the spigot and put a cap on. You can see the burnt marks where they could have set my house on fire, I WAS NEVER ASKED IF THIS WAS OK!! It was just done.
I have a hole in my house and no spigot and in the mother in law suite you can see water coming up between the floor boards. I had no clue if they cracked the pipe in the wall and that is where the water was floating in my house??? I wanted the water off; in fear of more damage being done. I wanted a plumber to put a spigot on, water restored, and heat. The technician told me Monday they would get a plumber and looked at replacing my whole HVAC unit.
Monday 12-8-25 I called American Home Shield at 2pm about the damage I called about on Fri and sat; was told they would fix it today and I have heard nothing. The representative called the company, spoke to the office manager who said they were aware of the damage and have called a plumber and are waiting to hear when my appointment was and to give them 24 hrs and they would call me about my appointment time.
Tuesday 12-9-25, no phone call.
Wednesday 12-10-25 I called AHS and they informed me Reid had sent them a memo stating they acknowledge they did damage and sent out an employee technician on Tuesday 12-9-25. Who put a cap on but the technician said they are not responsible b/c I had old pipes.
It does not matter if my pipes are 7 days old or 300 yrs old. Reid was there to fix my heat; the HVAC; not mess with my pipes and in doing so they broke my spicket.
Thursday 12-11-25, I called AHS and this representative called Reid and spoke to the owner Chris. Who stated, yes we broke the spigot but we put a cap on it. If the owner wants a spicket she can call a contractor.
7 days now with no water or heat, temperature in the 30's. I have a hole in my house and no spigot, temperature dropped into the 20s Sunday 12-14. How am I supposed to protect my pipes??
You cannot pay me to allow this company to set foot on my property, so they can damage, steal from me by cheating me. They have exhibited gross negligence. Terrible customer service,
inexperienced technicians. Bad service needs. Slow response time.
They told me they cleaned my coils and that I needed a new unit (which took 7 days to submit issues to insurance) my cost 1700$ with insurance,
I called Pender Heat. I needed a new controller and freon. 550$ and heat that same day.
Pictures include spicket damage, lost screws, dirty coils, lost cap, and they are not credited by BBB.
I had to have my unit serviced that was installed in July 2025, now I’m giving 5 stars ONLY because the technician Cam and his partner that came out this week and today 12/05/25 have been the best and was very knowledgeable. He knew what was wrong and what he said he did. My beginning experience was definitely a different experience with Cam. Thank you Cam for your service and getting me so fixed up.
