These guys are great. I just ordered my 5th computer from them and they always deliver a great product. My first order was about 10 years ago and I keep going back. The customer service is exceptional, they respond quickly and always work with me to find any solutions I need. I will continue to use Orbital Computers for future needs.
I have owned 2 orbital computers purchased in the last 5 years. They have always been responsive to my questions and went beyond handling a warranty issue on my laptop. Highly recommend!
On around Sept 2024, we began looking for a computer that would accommodate trading. We had been looking at Falcon computers, but they were double the price. So we went forward with Orbital.
The website is very user friendly and before we made the purchase we were able to speak to a Rep who helped with the items needed to accommodate the platforms we use. I explained to him what I trade on and we went through the items and made the picks.
We stressed the need for enough muscle to ensure the programs would not freeze up This happened with our older computer all the time. The computer arrived very clean and attractive. We have no problems with that.
Shortly after we started using it we had issues with the area of the computer that receives the monitor cable. We did not want to send the computer back to the West Coast so we had a local tech come and repair the issues. Orbital was good enough to replace the payment made to the local tech.
Nevertheless, the other issue we have experienced and continue to have issues with is the (for lack of the proper term) locking up. I really thought that I had communicated to the Rep that we have several different platforms open up at the same time and need whatever it is they can add to keep it running smoothly..
We open TradingView, Ninja, MT4 and TorS. It has been a pain to open all of them at one time because it freezes up. But we just live with it. Today it sort of bothered me and that is why I am doing the review.
We have lived with this since last September and today, decided to do a review. Not to scream and yell at them, but to let others know they need to make sure the computer will accommodate their multiple platforms.
We have provided a snip of our Task Manager to show what we are talking about. Today, we were only running NinjaTrader 8, but as you can see it was not responding. We generally have to wait a short time for it to get back to running. It has also done this while we have entered into trades so you can understand the frustration. Thanks for reading.
