I’m late to post this review, but I am a very happy AEG customer. I brought my dad’s 1970s Marantz 2230 receiver to AEG over the summer, since it had developed some popping, static, and an unreliable right channel output. The receiver has a lot of sentimental value to me in addition to simply sounding great, so wanted to restore it to like-new condition. When I carried it in, they seemed excited to work on my Marantz and spoke at length how great the model is and how I brought it to the right place. The tech assured me that “if I left it with them, I’d never have to bring it in for repair again”. The process took about a month including diagnostics, importing (reportedly original) parts from Japan, significant restoration work, and bench testing. AEG was happy to provide updates along the way. The restoration included a few unexpected things that other shops won’t even touch, e.g. a tuner alignment, which they were proud to demonstrate when I picked it up. I’m happy to report my Marantz has returned to its well-deserved place as the centerpiece of my living room, and it has never sounded better. This restoration job was worth every penny and I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to repair their vintage audio equipment.

Alpha Electronics was incredibly accommodating in helping us fix our furnace’s circuit board this winter. While I was out of town, they were especially kind and reassuring to my fiancée, and he single-handedly saved us from spending thousands of dollars. Thanks to the quick action, we didn’t have to go without heat for more than a day as he rushed the fix overnight. Thank you again; we look forward to working together in the future.
