NWI Generator installed a generator for us in March of last year and we were very happy with the install at the time. However, we lost power on Saturday and found out that our generator was no longer running appropriately. It was surging, very unsteady, and unable to run our home appropriately. Even with turning off nearly everything in our home that wasn't a necessity, the generator was still surging. Considering we sized up for our home, this was odd. We called on Monday and scheduled an appointment for today, Thursday 3/5/26 between 8:00 and 12:00. We took off work for this appointment. Shockingly, NWI didn't show up. When we called, they told us that we DIDN'T have an appointment, even though we have a call log that shows we talked to them for over 8 minutes. NWI said we could have an emergency call if we wanted to pay over $200. Why would we pay for an emergency call when we already had an appointment?! The soonest they can now get us in for a generator that has run less than a handful of times, is now next Wednesday between 8:00 and 12:00. Now my husband has to inconvenience himself and take off work because I will be out of state. That's if they even show up. While the install was well enough and the pricing seemed fair, the fact that we are having issues with our generator almost a year on the dot later and the company lacks the ability to maintain agreed upon appointments, is problematic. Again, installation was fine, but I'd definitely find another, more reliable company to maintain, and help sort things out in the future. I am going to update this review. NWI Generator sent Chris out to look at things for us this evening. We are very appreciative of Chris and thankful that someone was able to come out and help us figure out what is going on. We will be making the reccomended changes. Thank you for helping us.
