After walking out from Best Buy who techs told me a repair is not possible for my laptop that wont charge, I went to Monster Computer for a second opinion, and boy, good I did! Ava fixed my older baby just in about one and half hours. That's my place to go!
Great family run shop, helped me out with answering some technical questions and steered me in the right direction with my build. Highly recommend!
Could not be happier. Went to Silver Knight pcs to get and undervolt and repaste. They "forgot" top undervolt even though i paid for the service. Getting my money back through the bank. Went to Monster Computers instead. Spoke with the owner. Extremely friendly and helpful. The price was far more fair with them and they actually did the work, unlike Silver Knights. My raider is running way cooler on every game, and its faster! I shouldve gone there first. They have made a forever customer now! Update: Nov 21st I had to go back as Silver Knights did not even do the thermal paste. Tiffany and Robert the owners helped me out in so many ways. They showed me damage that silver knight pcs did to my $8,000 gaming laptop. They repasted with grizzly thermal pads. We tested it. We joked. We laughed. I even got to rehome their bearded dragon vulkan, who just got a bath this morning! Honestly the wholesomeness of this company is something else. Please understand itβs a small mom and pop operation and itβs just a few people but boy do they deliver!
π£OPEN ON SATURDAY! I was able to get my laptop there on a Saturday afternoon, and had it back by closing (wiped 2 hard drives and new OS install). The tech was even willing to stay after closing so I could get there in time to pick it up instead of waiting until Monday. It's also great to get to talk to a fellow veteran. I'll be back for their services in the future.
