Don’t call and talk to parts dept. especially if you just have a parts replacement question. They were really jerks on phone. I guess they’re only nice if you order parts and service with them.

The award for best appliance repair humbly goes to Klein's appliances. They fixed our super expensive bougie $1,200 dishwasher when I honestly thought all hope was lost. The backstory. I first called another very trustworthy appliance repair guy but he specialized in the old school appliance units. So once I told him the model number and the year our dishwasher was made he told us he wouldn't touch it. I appreciated his honesty and directness but I had to go elsewhere for solutions. My second call was to another reputable appliance for repair place, Mr appliance. They came out and we paid the service fee. We paid for some parts to be installed and nothing fixed the problem. The repairman said it was a short in the wiring and repairing it would take hours and hours of troubleshooting so it's not worth it and we should just toss the whole dishwasher. That led me to Kleins appliances. I went there to buy another dishwasher. I was hoping for a good deal on a new unit but I was open to used or scratch/ dent dishwasher. While I was talking with them they said they would take a look at my dishwasher for a $40 service fee. That was super reasonable compared to what we just paid. Lo and behold, they were able to have it fixed in like 2 days. It had nothing to do with a short like the previous appliance repair guy said. It was a part that had failed that the other guy didn't even look at. Long story short hour beloved dishwasher is back and it's home. So this is why I'm humbly bestowing my personal award to them. They pretty much swooped in and fixed something two other trustworthy appliance repair people wouldn't and couldn't fix.
Greg in parts helped me find the elusive filter for my vintage range hood and it fits perfectly! Thank you Greg, I will be back for other parts and hopefully you can help me find them! I appreciate your patience
I visited the store 10/18/2025 ready to purchase a new washer that day. The showroom was inviting, and the young associate who assisted me was professional and helpful in guiding my selection. However, I couldn’t ignore two subtle but familiar microaggressions: the initial glances from the salesmen as I entered and the hesitation around who would greet me. They weren’t overtly rude, but the discomfort was noticeable—and unfortunately, not unfamiliar. Despite that, I remained focused. My washer had been out for weeks, and I finally had time to shop. After choosing the model that best fit my needs, we moved on to delivery logistics. That’s when I was told, “We don’t deliver to that area.” I live in Washington Park near Kingshighway. The associate checked with a colleague, who confirmed that their delivery line stops at what sounded like Caseyville. Determined, I tried to make it work. I called my cousin, a maintenance professional, to see if he could help with installation if I rented a U-Haul. He was willing, as family always is. But as I considered the effort required—paying for the appliance, renting the truck, coordinating removal of the old washer, interrupting my cousin’s time, and returning the rental—I paused. The distance from my house to the store is less than 10 miles I chose to take my business elsewhere. I went to Lowe’s, where I receive a military discount. I purchased the exact same washer, and it will be delivered, installed, and the old unit removed within 48 hours. I also picked up a microwave while I was there. If it feels like discrimination, it probably is. I decided not to justify it or work around it. I chose to walk away—and spend my money where my time, dignity, and community are respected.
