I have been taking my vacuum cleaners to A-1 Vacuum for years. Then it became KEVIN’S A-1 Vacuum and it is just as good. I would recommend him to anyone.

Nutone central vac head needed replacement. I bought one in the internet and discovered I needed a new wand. Then discovered the hose will not fit the new power head/wand. This is apparently a common issue for systems like mine- over 18 years old. Went to another vacuum shop and they said I needed a completely new system. Went to Kevin’s, they switched out an adapter and did not charge me a thing!!! It works just fine. Amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. I will use them for any type of vacuum issue in the future.

As far as I can tell, they fixed my vacuum, but I’m a first/last time customer (based on how they acted, I don’t think they’ll mind). They’re each, young and less young, still living in the 70’s with a payment processor that charges them $7.49 to process a $200 payment by EFT and they happily pass that along to their customers. I suggest they shop around for a new payment processor and I will be shopping around for a new vacuum repair shop. Bring cash or a checkbook to pay if you don’t want to fund their time traveling payment processor!

Did a good job fixing the vacuum but when I dropped it off was told by the end of the week, never heard anything called them the afternoon of Monday the next week they said first on the bench tomorrow. Never heard anything. Called them Wed was told first on bench tomorrow. I did get call that day it was done. It was only a totally plugged system someone (not me) never emptied the tankless canister. So timelyness and communication was not very good. Work and cost was good.
