Wow all the bad reviews I seen here with people that need safe spaces because this man has had his tiny lil dusty shop up and running the entire time my family has lived in this neighborhood I dont know about online buying from him I have been to his shop as its only a block away to get replacement tube for my 1970s Yamaha house stereo and have never had any bad customer service and always have found those discontinued parts that I needed so with that i will say to anyone under 40 thats doing biz with him he is just cut from a different cloth than you youngsters and will not put up with your millennial pronoun using bs its obviously very clear your parents have taught you nothing about respect for your elders and the fact you should be grateful this man is able to get your parts and I think its awsome he dont cater to the cry baby generation of today great job Ken thank you for keeping us stocked and even better for outlasting all the big box stores of yesteryear
Been to Ken’s shop a couple times for simple things like resistors and solder. Great prices. Highly recommend !
Honestly I feel bad for this old fellow. He’s a gem- his expertise is a nearly extinct art. People who appreciate older things like I do need people like Ken around. If you stop and listen to him, he hasn’t had it easy. I didn’t experience horrible customer service from him, but I suspect that people who did just don’t understand older people. A lot of older people are just straigh shooters. They don’t give bs nor do they tolerate it. I suspect that is how Ken is. Either way, in my experience I really enjoyed talking with him. I have a radio of my grandfathers that isn’t working properly anymore and while Ken can’t fix it outright he did offer to help me figure out how to fix it. And really the only reason he can’t fix it outright is because he had cataract surgery and wasn’t able to afford the expensive one that would have helped him see better. Give the guy a break in my opinion. Also offer to help him- he lives alone and he’s old.
