We hired this company to skim the ceiling and walls to fix drywall work done by a previous contractor, and they did an excellent job from start to finish. Their team was professional, punctual, and clearly experienced. The skim coat came out smooth and even, and they took the time to make sure everything looked right before finishing up. The difference compared to the previous work is night and day. Communication was also outstanding. They responded quickly, kept us updated on scheduling, and explained the process clearly so we knew what to expect. It’s refreshing to work with a contractor who actually follows through and keeps you informed. If you need drywall repair or skim coating done properly, I would absolutely recommend them.

Originally, I was happy with the work JMB Construction was doing. They worked quickly and offered a reasonable price. I hired them to install drywall on the ceilings throughout my house, as well as on some of the walls. However, the level of finish I was left with is not professional. There are numerous rough and wavy inside corners, sloppy 3-way joints, pock marks along many seams, and improperly filled screw holes. The sanding was also rough, with tool marks visible throughout. Overall, It looks like a level 2 or rough Level 3 finish at best, when I was expecting a smooth, paint-ready surface. I also hired them to paint the ceilings, but the poor drywall work was painted over without correction, leaving me with even more prep work. Several cracks developed at the joints in various rooms—not unusual with new drywall—but when they came back to patch them, I was again left with repainting responsibilities and a less-than-smooth result. I understand that some minor touch-ups are normal before painting, but this goes far beyond that. I’m now having to re-mud, sand, and repaint multiple areas to reach an acceptable finish. I appreciate that they did come back once to address the cracks, but unfortunately the overall quality does not reflect the professional standard I expected.
