DJI 5th Avenue is a magnificent store with expertise advise and experience on all aspects of drone flying from beginners to advance. All you need to do is visit and there you'll be captured in a wonderful world of intrigued and inspiration to want to fly DJI forever.
Extremely disappointed. Unsafe repairs and wasted money.
This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had.
DJI referred me to Camrise Fifth Avenue as an authorized repair center, so I trusted them and shipped my drone in for repair. I’ve been flying drones for over five years and never had a single crash or serious issue.
After the first repair, I flew the drone once. Within minutes, it completely malfunctioned mid-air, lost stability, and smashed into trees, destroying the drone. I contacted them immediately and was told their technicians “tested it” and that it wasn’t their problem.
With no choice, I paid hundreds of dollars again for a second repair.
When the drone came back the second time, it was clearly unstable from the start. Shortly after takeoff, without me touching anything, it again went out of control, flew unpredictably, and crashed violently into a tree, breaking into pieces.
Two repairs. Two first flights. Two uncontrollable crashes.
That is not bad luck — that is either incompetent repair work or a failure to ensure the drone was safe to fly.
Not only did I lose my drone, I lost a significant amount of money and was given zero accountability. An authorized repair center should stand behind their work. This place did not.
I strongly warn anyone considering sending equipment here: my experience cost me my drone, my money, and my trust.
Be careful with the sales people in this store as they’ll hide information and lie about specs of their products only to gain their sales quota.
I bought the DJI MINI 5 Pro
Facts:
- I explicitly asked Jean S if the drone was less than 249g and he said yes. I just weighed it at home and it’s 251.3g. It’s a regulatory hassle if a drone is over 249g. The whole point of buying it was to not deal with restrictions while traveling abroad (picture attached)
- Before paying, I asked about the return policy and he said it was 60 days return (picture attached). He saw me take a picture of the return period in front of him and he didn’t mention that the DJI 5 Pro was non refundable
Not only did he hide crucial information against my best interest, he lied to me and got screwed with a $1400 drone I can’t really use
They told me: you’re free to sell it online…
I recently purchased the DJI Mini Pro 5, and my experience at the 5th Ave location was excellent. Frank, the employee who assisted me, provided outstanding customer service—he was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the great service and highly recommend this store.
