Stumbled upon Dan's shop when looking for a belt the day of a weeding. He was able to fit and finish a custom sized belt for me in only 10 minutes. Price was reasonable as well, I've purchased more expensive belts in retail stores the probably won't last nearly as long as the one Dan made.
Excellent quality leather and craft! My sandals and purse that Dan made have endured beautifully. After years of constant use, they are still in excellent condition. Plus, Dan is available for resoling when needed!
This man has been making handmade shoes, bags, wallets and belts out of leather for over 50 years. Truly a master at his work and one of the last few people with his skill set in the country. This place is worth visiting at least for the authenticity of the shop if not for the products themselves
I have purchased 2 handmade bags from Dan's own hands and they have withstood the test of time. I got them over 10 years ago and still use them today. Dan is a super nice fellow, has really cool stories and is very candid and open. He also altered some Frye boots for me and really remade them into boots I loved. And he has also stretched shoes for me. I have always been super satisfied with his work. Can highly recommend.
Dan has always been great to work with. Prices of service were always good for the repair or stretching jobs I had done on shoes etc. Dan is a real craftsman and it's an education in leather just talking to him.
