Dave has been giving all my guitars the best care for more then 25 years. He has worked his magic on my 1968 Gretsch Country Gentleman, all my core PRS guitars, my Gibson Les Paul guitars and even my 1992 Ovation made in Japan. I think that Dave has guitar strings instead of ligaments and a fret board where his back bone should be and you should hear him play guitar!
After finally taking the plunge on a real guitar that’s made in this country and priced like it, i did some research and it seemed the consensus was “go get it professionally set up.” Dave was highly rated, raved about and local to me so that was an easy decision. It’s rare to meet someone as talented at their craft as they are friendly and warm. Dave makes you feel like family from the moment you first set foot in his garage workshop. I could have easily continued to play my new fender Strat straight from the factory and been none the wiser. But I’m glad I took it to Dave because this thing plays like a dream now. I didn’t know a guitar could sound and feel this good. Thank you Dave. Customer for life.
I had a great experience with Dave. He is extremely knowledgable about guitars while also friendly and easy to communicate/work with. He did some work on my 7-string, adding a tremolo block so I can freely use lower tunings, and also made sure everything else was set up properly. 11/10.
I have had Dave work on my guitars for 20 years off and on. He has always been very friendly, helpful, and generous. His work has always been impeccable and affordable. He built me a 70's style strat with a scalloped neck and a brass nut. It remains my favorite guitar of the dozen of so that I own/ have owned. I only just saw this review section as I was looking him up again for some guitar electronics work and Dave is the only one that I would trust in the area. Heck, even virtuoso Vinnie Moore uses him.
