Worst experience possible. New house so it should’ve been easy. They had it ALL wrong. Once they realized that it was bad, they were forced to try and fix their mistakes. They couldn’t even do that correctly.
Warning if you want a quality HVAC installation look elsewhere. Zero pride.
If you value good craftsmanship, honesty, and what you’re promised then don’t use Chucks. If I could give ZERO stars I would.
Kind of late in summer season to have our AC inspected under our annual service contract but do want to note we appreciated the inspection and service to assure us everything working fine. Particularly want to mention technician Bryce who did a great servicing HVAC system. He was professional, courteous and thorough inspecting and cleaning system and explained how everything was working. I’d recommend Chuck’ s. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait til spring for heating system service and Chuck’s will schedule that before winter.
Terrible customer service! Had been a customer for 14 years. Then I had to change my email address. Well they didn't get it right which may be understandable. They like to think they are on the leading edge of technology via communicating through email. But it doesn't work.... Anyway, I tried to hold them to task and getting the email corrected and for over 9 months nothing happened. When I questioned why, Rob told me he would get it straight. Well he didn't and in fact went the other way and told his boss, I'm a terrible person and Chuck's shouldn't keep me as a customer. When I called again after Rob failed to deliver, I spoke with a person named Dave (later found out he is the "boss"). Dave didn't identify himself to me at all and called me "abusive" and stated they didn't need my business - already had too much business! In fact Dave didn't even let me address the issue at all and then hung up the phone. Mind you, I never called anyone at Chuck's a name, never raised my voice and never swore at anyone. In my 40 years of customer service, the first thing I did was to determine what the issue was and then determine how we might resolve the issue - called investigate and resolve. Not the procedure for Dave and Chuck's. Nope, just tell the customer they're done and to go away. Would not recommend them for any work!.
We had Chuck’s install 2 heat pumps in our home in South Burlington in 2015. We also hired them for the annual contract for preventative maintenance. We started spending our winters down in Florida - after 10 years of hiring Chuck’s for our Annual Contract for heat pumps and furnace, we came up from the south in May 2024 to find the heat pumps not working. Chuck’s suggested that they were too busy and we should hire someone else to take care of that and we did. We had the same problem in May 2025 and the response from Chuck’s was that since we had someone else work on our system they would drop us us as customers. After 20 years and spending close to $50k on a local business they decided to drop us as customers. All the great employees that I worked with, at Chuck's, have all left and apparently the new service manager has been calling the shots and dropping customers. I got our system changed by another local contractor on time and budget. Shame on Chuck’s for dropping customers who supported them for close to 10 years. No wonder they are losing customers left and right and I will be sad to see this local business fold down due to some eccentric employees.
