I had a great experience with Charlotte fix and repair. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and talented. I took him an old digital cluster out of a Cadillac that wasn’t working, and he completely rebuilt it in only 2 days. 100% recommend! Thanks Matt!
I'll admit it pains me to leave this review, but I have to write what I just went through...
I first met this technician around last February. In the beginning, everything seemed promising. He handled several of my retro gaming devices carefully, communicated well, and returned follow-ups promptly. I even recommended him to friends because of what appeared to be genuine expertise with retro systems.
Unfortunately, things changed over this past summer...
Several of my return visits happened because he would fix one issue but unintentionally create another — something he admitted and said he needed “more time for testing.” I tried to be patient and understanding. But from August onward, communication completely collapsed.
My calls regarding the status of my PS2 and Toshiba Android Tablet eventually went straight to voicemail.
And I tried just about everything to reach him: calling, texting, stopping by his residence, writing a letter and leaving it on his door, even speaking with a relative of his during one visit — yet he never responded. And he doesn’t live close to me, so every attempt required extra effort.
After months of silence, I finally used a different phone number.
He responded immediately. That was a red flag.
We then arranged a pickup for Sunday the 7th of this month. He agreed to give me back my items. But when I arrived, he wasn’t home, despite us communicating a pickup time in the afternoon on the 7th. Speaking with him prior to my arrival he admitted he did see me on his Ring doorbell and that his relative even notified him I was present at his residence. He gave the cliché response of "oh I was going to call you..." but of course, crickets.
So he was fully aware of my attempts to reach him all this time.
At that point, after I went by and he didn't respond at his door once again, I had no choice but to file a police case just to retrieve my own property. (In my letter I left him and several messages I gave him warning of me eventually reaching authorities if I don't hear back from him about my property)
So, it was only after that — and through the help of my relatives since I was at work — did I finally get my consoles back, today, Dec 10th. And after all these months, the original issue still wasn’t fixed. All I really needed was the power lights on my PS2 console repaired. (The android tablet he left "on the back burner")
I’ve seen him respond to other customers’ reviews during the exact time he was ignoring me. His usual response of “unforeseen issues” doesn’t excuse a complete lack of communication, especially when he was clearly active in other areas. Being a one-man operation or having personal challenges does not excuse leaving a customer you are doing business with without updates for months.
This experience was unprofessional, stressful, and completely avoidable. No customer should have to go to these lengths just to get their items back — let alone with the same issue still present. My review may not mean much, but I sincerely hope he learns from this. Have humility, take responsibility, and please communicate with your customers.

I want to clarify a few factual points for accuracy...
My concern was never about deadlines alone — it was the complete lack of communication for several months while my PS2 and Toshiba tablet were still in your possession. During that time, I made repeated attempts to contact you by phone and text, all of which went unanswered.
I was never informed that the business was temporarily closed, nor was any status update provided. The reason I eventually stopped by was because prior attempts to contact you had gone unanswered.
Most concerning is that after months of silence, you responded immediately when I contacted you from a different phone number. That is what prompted me to leave this review.
I shared my experience factually so others can make informed decisions. I hope the measures you mentioned truly prevent this situation from happening to future customers.
I came to Matt with my sons Ps5 hdmi broken After taking it to a few places they all said it was unrepairable. Matt was not only able to repair it but gave the console a cleaning for a discounted cost. I loved the service so much I actually brought him more stuff like my iPhone and my IPad and I had them back i think in only two days. Definitely would recommend if you need anything done quickly haha
Would give zero stars if I could. For starters and most importantly, this man does not answer the phone, and says “unexpected things came up” every time he disappears. I took him my PlayStation for an over heating issue. At first he sent it back with the same issue it was having, so he said he would look into further repair at no extra charge. He does not provide any updates, pictures, or anything else somebody in this field should be doing. At this point he is coming off like a scammer and a thief
Matt was super communicative and was able to fix my 360 camera lens to the best of his ability despite a very difficult part match to find. The alternative was buy a new camera for $400 or send it to the manufacturer for 200 bucks and be without it for a week or more. I was able to get scheduled with Matt fast, he ordered and had the part within a day, and he repaired the lens within the hour of drop off. I will definitely be using him again for all of my electronic needs and passing along his information to friends and family!
