We hired Argo Glass Company to complete one section of repairing our home’s windows. While they were on site and actively working, we pointed out concerns with one specific window. At the time, we were told everything was fine and that there was no issue. After later seeking opinions from other professionals, it became clear that there was in fact a problem with that same window. We contacted Argo Glass to discuss how to properly address it, expecting a reasonable resolution—especially since the window had already been opened, worked on, and sealed back up by their team. Instead, the company appeared far more concerned with collecting their remaining payment than standing behind their work. They quoted us an extra $500, and told us the issue is actually with TWO windows and to go back and to fix an issue that should have been addressed when it was first raised during the original visit. This was particularly frustrating given that there are still other sections of windows in our home that were planned to be repaired in future phases. What made the situation worse was that while we were in the middle of going back and forth trying to figure out an appropriate solution, we were threatened with a lien being placed on our house unless payment was made. This felt extremely aggressive and unprofessional, especially while the work and responsibility for the issue were still being discussed. Overall, the lack of accountability, poor communication, and focus on money over completing the job correctly has caused us to lose confidence in continuing with this company.
