American Foreign Car Service is exactly the kind of shop you hope to find. It is a true family-run business, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. There are pictures everywhere of U Street from decades ago, which gives the place real character and history. I ordered a part myself and tried to install it on my own, but it turned out to be much more complicated than I expected. After finally giving up, I called them. A wonderful woman answered the phone and, even though they were fully booked for the day, told me to come by in 30 minutes and they would take a look. They quickly diagnosed the issue, fixed it in about 30 minutes, and had me back on the road. No hassle, no upsell, just honest and efficient service. Super happy with the experience. Highly recommend.

Pedro is a stand up man, great worker, and a kind person. His staff is just as great. As a daughter of someone who works on cars- he can be trusted!! I will tell my girl friends to come to this establishment for proper treatment/fair prices (we all know what other auto shops like to do when it comes to inexperienced customers.. scam them!!) He knows his stuff and takes time out of his work day to be a kind and gracious business owner. This business has been here for as long as it has been for a reason, great service. I will only go to this establishment from here on out!
