I had a leak in my kitchen faucet. This plumber did not show up to our original appointment time. Then quoted me $720💀💀 to replace the faucet, but he’d knock off $100 for missing our first appointment time. Actual cost to fix: $50 for an overnight shipped faucet, $16 for a basin wrench, a free 12 minute YouTube video, and an hour of my time. I have no experience plumbing whatsoever. If you’re going to try and price gouge that much at least show up on time.
I highly recommend Plumb Right Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. Their customer service is too notch and they are very responsive when you need them. They followed up after the service was completed just to make sure everything was ok. I would definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs.
The manager, Brent, quoted me an upfront price of $525 to replace my garbage disposal, which included the cost of the unit (new units go for $100-200 retail). While this price seemed steep, I agreed to it due to time constraints. During installation, the technician realized that he needed additional parts to complete the job. He informed me that he had to go to his truck to retrieve these parts, but disappeared for 45-60 minutes. The technician returned and completed the installation. Shortly after, Brent called to collect payment and asked for my credit card number _BEFORE_ revealing the new total of $765. Brent claimed that the additional... Shortly after, Brent called to collect payment and asked for my credit card number _BEFORE_ revealing the new total of $765. Brent claimed that the additional cost was due to the technician having to procure a couple fittings such as a new P trap. If you have any knowledge on home repair, you would know these parts are just a few bucks each. Brent also claimed that the installed garbage disposal was superior because it was obtained from a parts supplier and not a retail store. However, upon inspection, I discovered that the model they installed was just a Badger which retails for around $150, while the original model I had was a Badger that retails for $140. It's evident that Plumb Right Plumbing prioritizes quick profits at the expense of long term customers. They basically charged me $600 in labor for a $150 part that took an hour to install. They would probably be more profitable in the long run if they charged reasonable prices and gained loyal customers.
In my 40+ years as a building contractor I've worked with dozens of plumbing contractors. Shelby and the crews at Plumb Right Plumbing have been a pleasure to work with. They are doing a great job for us on large custom addition/renovation in Georgetown. Shelby answers the phone when I call, get's the work done when he say he will, works effective to coordinate his work with the other trades, and has a great attitude. Thanks Shelby!
