Worcester Inspectional Services Department

Erin M Roche (housing inspector) was extremely unprofessional and rude. After I corrected the code violations that she gave me, I reached out for a follow-up inspection to clear everything up. She stormed into my house with no introduction, no professionalism, and immediately started nitpicking everything in a blatantly condescending tone. She provided almost no explanations, just demands. Previously, she incorrectly wrote us a code violation for a "hole in the wall" (there was no hole) and when I questioned her about it she became defensive and angry. She demanded me (The owner of the property) to leave MY OWN HOUSE our else she would call the police. Obviously, it's completely illegal for law enforcement to enter my property without a warrant, and she had absolutely NO authority to make these demands in MY house. I called out her bluff, and she stormed out of the house without doing the inspection. Mind you, this all happened in exactly 5 minutes (I checked my camera footage). She barely even started the inspection. I have NEVER done business with someone so disrespectful and rude. And then leaving in the middle of her job? I'm disgusted that my tax dollars go towards this woman's wages. If you ever have the misfortune of doing business with Erin M Roche, beware...
