I had sole replaced for one pair of boots for $30. The sole was done good but some how the top of the boot became undone. I let it go since it was an old pair and it's possible that the stitches and glue become undone. I took another pair recently and he wanted $50 for just the heels. SACM. I wish they are regulated by the govt to post the prices. He is a ripoff
I took my dress shoes to be changed the sole on the hills (I had the right hill shorter 1/2 inch than the left one, because I have my left leg shorter than the right one). When I picked the shoes up I didn't notice that he had equalized both hills without I had asked for. I went back to explain to him that I needed my hills the way they were because of the difference on my legs, but he didn't hear me. He didn't care about my problem.
One stop shop for both shoe repair and clothes alterations. Before finding this place, I had both a top and shoes I needed to get fixed, and I thought to myself “it would be so awesome to drop off both items at the same place”. Then I stumbled across this gem. Super nice owner, worked fast and had great work. I live 30 minutes away and have no regrets about making a trip up here. Would come again!
Frank is pleasant, but I had to make two trips to fix an initial repair on an item immediately after it was picked up. Then he made it sound as if it was my fault the repair was poorly done. had no words. I also had some sewing done. Suffice it to say it was not good. I mentioned it to him, and he said he saw nothing wrong with it. My grandmother's (God rest her soul) stitching is 100% better than the subpar work that I paid for.
I won't be coming back.
I have been taking my shoes here for a couple years and have always been happy with the service and had no problem. However, this past week I took my favorite pair of Sergio Rossi boots in to have the heels cut down and retapped. When I picked them up today, the sole was chewed up on one boot (the covering of the sole had been scratched off in the arch and had exposed the fiber of the sole of the arch) and I also found a tear in the upper of that same boot. My shoes are like my children and this was one of my most beloved pairs so I know for a fact that neither of these issues existed before I dropped them off. When I brought the boot back, they denied responsibility, told me that they get 100s of pairs of shoes in a week and that I probably just didn't notice the tear before I dropped them off. They said if they were responsible, the tear would have been a straight line and cleaner. They didn't say anything about the condition of the sole, which they are definitely directly responsible for. I know I am not responsible for that tear. It is not at a natural angle or in a crease on the boot and I am careful to clean and condition those boots every 1-2 weeks so it didn't just come with wear. I'm really disappointed as I thought I found a trustworthy place, but I guess I have to keep looking.
