Seth Fickett
I was initially excited to find out he was a local guy. Apparently lived in a house a couple blocks from here when he was a kid. But his initial, seemingly-helpful attitude did not extend to any real life problem solving. The scope of work kept getting less, meanwhile the price remained the same. He didn’t know or follow the relevant codes for building steps. The agreed upon price was said to include the cost of a permit, but I later found out no permits were filed. When the issue was brought up, he initially told me it was fine and up to code. When the work was confirmed to be out of code with the city inspector, all texts were then ignored. Now I will need to hire another contractor just to redo work Tyler and his crew were already paid to do in order that a) I can be on good terms with the city, and b) so that know one trips on these uneven risers.
