I had a very disappointing experience with Steve’s TV. From the moment I walked in, the guy up front came across as disingenuous and more focused on collecting the $30 diagnostic fee than actually helping. Afterward, he followed up with a quote for a component that cost significantly more than simply buying a brand-new TV, which immediately raised red flags. To make matters worse, after telling me the absurdly high cost to repair it, I was then asked whether I would be picking the TV up or allowing them to “dispose” of it. That only added to my concerns and reinforced the feeling that this was more about money than customer service. It also made me question how a customer is supposed to know whether a part they claim is “bad” was actually faulty to begin with—and not swapped out for something nonfunctional. That lack of transparency is concerning, especially when dealing with electronics. First impressions matter, and in this case, they were spot-on. I should have trusted my gut. I would not trust these guys to work on any electronic device and will not refer anyone to them. EVER. On top of that, the TVs they sell in-store are overpriced, which makes you wonder what their business model really is and how they stay in business. Overall, I would not recommend Steve’s TV and won’t be returning.
Recently had my TV go black for an unknown reason. Baffling. Took it to Steve’s TV repair & they diagnosed it right away. Fair, honest pricing. Answered all my questions. Highly recommend. 90 day warranty on his repairs.
I gave them a 2 because they did diagnose the issue within 24 hrs. However they wanted over $900 to repair it. Took it for a free diagnosis at another business and had it repaired for $348. The set is working like new again. Way overpriced as far as I'm concerned. Follow up- since this posting I’ve been contacted by the owners and they refunded my diagnostic fee. They read the posts and made it right with me. Good way to keep customers. I will consider them for future repairs. Based on their actions I now rate them at a 4 stars!
