Dave & Timothy did awesome with my car and keeping me updated. I appreciate how they’re a walk in service and the price was cheaper than other shops had quoted me. Timothy also was awesome because he helped me figure out (& even showed me) the cause of a noise I’d been hearing for a while & was able to get it fixed for me. All around great experience, timely, & great prices!
Not happy with this place and I will be filing a report with the BBB. I had to get my car towed here because it was the closest place to where I was located. I had to leave my car with them and go home to Tulsa. A few days go by, nothing. Fine. I thought maybe they're just busy. No big deal. A week goes by. Nothing. At this point, I call them and was told they weren't sure. Call back a few days later and got the same response. Called back the following week and finally got some answers. They told me my car needed a new engine. $5000. Had to rent a uhaul to get my car back to Tulsa. They also told me it was going to be $125 for a diagnostic. Fine. Get there to pick up my car and the diagnostics was $233. So far, I've spent $125 renting a uhaul and $233 on a diagnostic test that Im not even sure they did! Finally, get to Tulsa and get my car dropped off to a real mechanic shop and turns out all I needed was a coil pack and new spark plugs. $300. OHHH and while they had my car, they went through it and stole everything they could out it. Like, they actually had to open my console and glove box and rifle through my things. I mean they do have a sign that says "not responsible for items left in car" but I didnt realize that's them just telling you they will go through your stuff and steal from you.
I had a radiator blow out when I was in from out of town. The guys at Sooner Auto Service were super helpful in getting me all taken care of. I was able to call and speak to someone right away and they were great about their communication throughout the prices of diagnostics, recommendations, repair, and having the car ready for me. They did great work, going above and beyond in multiple things, without trying to upsell me on anything. If I lived in Norman, this shop would be my go to for all my mechanics needs. Thanks very much for getting my trusty steed back up and running for me!
Care about family?!? Dakota, my daughter had her alternator replaced, $1000+ with labor and tax. The car drove fine for five days, then broke down 300 miles from her home, in a town she was driving through to get home, so didn’t know anyone. AAA towed the car to a shop. The shop said it was the alternator. She explained she just had it replaced. Welllll, still the alternator was bad. She had to leave the car to be repaired again, rent a car to get her, three kids and a dog back to Norman. She contacted Sooner Auto, however, was told she would not get any refund as that would mean they would lose money.WHAT?!?! The repair shop she left the car with tried to work with Sooner Auto, to no avail. I talked with a Sooner tech today as she should at least be reimbursed for bad alternator, even if it means they give her the receipt of where they bought it. He said only Dakota has that authority, and he was busy. He ghosted my daughter when she tried to work it out, was rude to the shop that repaired the car 300 miles away, and did not return my call. I waited for a return call, but no call back. End of day, I called back. The tech, although very sympathetic to the situation, said Dakota was given my number, and the information, and that he left. My daughter has used their shop for years. This is wrong!! She should be reimbursed the whole amount she spent there, however, will settle for just the reimbursement of the defective part. Nothing - just told to accept that the part was defective, too bad so sad. Bottom line, how can you advertise family friendly, advertise “don’t want folks broken down on the side of the road”, and that’s exactly what happened. The customer meant nothing to Dakota.
