Great service. Punctual. Good communication. Had a new 4 ton Trane "Choice" unit (one step above builder grade) installed to replace an older unit. Installed within a couple days of quote! Caution to inspect closely... Connected new condenser to existing 40 amp breaker when the tag stated 35 amp max (changed to 30 amp). Gas pipe installed overlapping evap coil cover, so it wasn't accessible (relocated), but valve handle was mangled, and installed upside down (we fixed it). Tstat was not Trane, and not legible with very small numbers (replaced with Trane). No manuals, or paperwork. "Fan On" position didn't move any air (adjusted)
Gas line moved, . All issues resolved promptly with a couple service calls, but a little odd they don't have more experienced installers, or quality control.
Hope this helps those with new installs in the works!! Love the Trane!..so far:)
I can’t say enough good things about RiverTech! They were friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. After having a different company come out and “fix” our AC for $2,000, it went out again just 3 weeks later. That same company returned only to tell us the whole unit needed replacing — quoting $12,000–$14,000 but generously (eye roll) offering to credit our $2,000 toward it.
We decided not to go with them and instead called RiverTech. Best decision ever! Within 48 hours, they had a brand new unit installed — and at a fraction of the outrageous price the other company quoted.
Highly recommend RiverTech for all your heating and air needs. They’ll save you time, money, and frustration!
Let the pictures pretty much tell a tale...
Quality is job #3. In my opinion
If it's not available at the local supply house, it may need to be made with tape and duct butter. They didn't have a simple "Metal Break" at the shop to make a duct cap needed.... this install was back in August, so, maybe, they put some Miami money towards one.
Gob of glue should hold that condensation drain (that's barely in the coupling) together for a while...
About 10 degree indifference 1st floor to second... there was to be a damper configuration.... but that's not going to happen. Not by them.
I have called, I have gone by their office... my customer released funds 100% a week after they started unfortunately, they paid upwards of a premium $ (did I mention the 2 day job took more towards the 3 months). Pictures are dated stamped... have a few more, maybe 50.
Needless to say, I have repaired/completed what I believe to be satisfactory work, not myself a certified HVAC tech 😉 but, not hard to figure out cool air in the attic, in the summer... may mean you need to turn the wrench once more.
My customer will have to pay another company to balance the airflow..... about to turn the house back over to them.
They may try to cover this review with a convenient "WE had no knowledge of this", but the girls in the office know me 😉.... Rico's maybe apprehensive to make a call back... and I'm a pretty easy-going guy, but I expect what I give... quality...
The last day, the young techs asked me if there was anything else that was needed.... I smiled nicley, turned the question, and said "If your done, your done.
You see, after that many trips/time, I knew that I would not see anything better, and honestly, I don't typically have to stay involved when I hire a trade to do their specific trade.
There's some good reviews for these folks, but I'm leaning toward straight foward easier installs (cookie cutters), and not many crawling around to really see the finished product.
So Rivertech, I wouldn't fight this review.... I can't make this up... Kodak's got it.
But I guarantee it will make you look at your next one a little harder.... maybe, hopefully, idk...
We had 2x HVAC units moved from the back to the side of the house. Overall good job. We had to have the technicians come back out to address: The insulation of the copper pipes and the wrapping of the electrical wires was incomplete. Additionally, the pipes needed to be secured better. I would have given the firm a 5 star rating except for the fact that we had to point these items out to the firm.
Our HVAC unit stopped working yesterday (a friday) afternoon. Out landlord called rivertech and they were able to send someone on a saturday. AC is pretty vital as this point of summer for our english bulldog. Everything got check rapidly and fixed in 30 minutes. Adam was very prompt at diagnosing what went wrong, changed the connector and adjusted the freon level. Couldn’t be more grateful!
