They never came to pick up my recycling on December 26th, made me schedule a pick up for the following Tuesday, and then never came to pick up on that scheduled pick up date. I called twice, was told "I was on the route" to getting picked up and "they have until 7pm to pick up" but no one ever came. How about I stop paying my bill since I'm not receiving service?
Recycling comes every 2 weeks. Last week it wasn't picked up and the time before that it also was not picked up. I now have almost a month of recyclables waiting. My husband called last Wednesday (our pickup day) and was told the drivers were "running behind". It's now Tuesday, almost a week later, and it still has not been picked up. Luckily I save a lot of paper and cardboard to burn, otherwise I'd be drowning in trash! Still, why am I paying over $150 for nothing?
Last Thursday, one of two trash cans was still filled with trash after the service pick up. I called republic services to let them know. The lady I spoke too said she would send a driver immediately to pick up the missed service. Friday passed and no trash was picked up. I waited until Monday, hoping it would be picked up. It is now Wednesday and the trash cans are still filled waiting for a pick up service. It is completely frustrating as I have two weeks of trash now with no available trash can to throw anything away.
Republic Services must be thankful they have a monopoly on waste services, because there is no way they could stay in business based on their customer service. Ordered a 20-yard dumpster to help the clean-up of a property. Was told it would be dropped at the address the next day. Eight days later and 6 phone calls, finally was received. Then pick-up was even worse. Called on June 30 for a July 3 pick-up, was assured this was not a problem, plenty of time allowance. July 3, no pick-up. Called at end of day and only got VMs. Forget trying to call over the 4th of July weekend. Started calling again on July 7, five calls and VM's later, dumpster was finally was picked up EOD on July 8, forcing us to work around it prepping a property for sale for 5 extra days. Never a return phone call from the local personnel. Then, to add insult to injury, they charged me for those five extra days. Tried for two months afterwards to get them to reverse the charges for those extra days, but to no avail. Finally cried UNCLE and gave up trying. NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE OR BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Called (August 18) the accounts receivable team to discuss, 5 VM's over 2 days, never a call back. My call last week (August 20) was bounced to four different people, the last being the local account manager saying he would reverse the charges for those days and the credit would show on my invoice in 1-2 days. Five days later, I get a notice that my account is in arrears, and guess what, no credit was applied. Another 1.5 hours on the phone with their A/R department and finally gave up trying because I didn't want my credit hurt by their incompetence over $20. Absolutely the worst customer service from a company I have experienced in decades.
