J. Turpin
I should have read the reviews before going to this shop. Clearly an issue with sunroofs and headliners and as others have reported, Jesse is rude and arrogant. Just because you have been in business for a long time does not entitle you to be a π« to customers, Jesse. The lady at the front desk is the only redeeming part of the business. She at least deserves a better boss. I dropped the car off for a sunroof quote. The shop said βtwo daysβ. A week later, I reached out for an update after getting no call. Response: βOh, it's ready.β The diagnostic consisted of removing the cover for the power button. They did not remove the headliner or sunroof. I was advised that the issue was sunroof drive cables inside copper tubing were clogged with grease. I was charged $275, cash only, for the βdiagnostic.β I took it for a second opinion. The sunroof was not moving because a piece of cardboard was jammed behind it. There are no copper tubes on this sunroof. There was no grease clogging anything. See photos of the sunroof removed. Does anyone see copper tubing or grease? It's a no-effort scam. I see why they only take cash. The owner boasts that he is the only person in Charleston who works on old sunroofs. Ironically, not only did he not work on it, but he couldnβt get the diagnosis right. That would have required actual work. If you go here make sure you understand what services they are actually providing and what you are being charged for.
