Quick answers from this business profile.

Why Do Drain And Sewer Problems Seem So Common In Seattle?
Seattle homes and buildings can face a mix of conditions that put extra pressure on plumbing systems. In many older neighborhoods, aging clay or cast iron sewer lines are reaching the end of their lifespan. Mature trees can send roots into small cracks, and frequent rain can keep soil saturated enough to stress pipes, especially on slopes and hillside properties.
How Does Your Pricing Work?
Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Seattle uses upfront pricing, which means the recommended work and cost are explained before the repair begins. This allows customers to understand the issue, ask questions, and make decisions without feeling rushed. For emergency plumbing, the price stays the same any day, any time, with no overtime or weekend charges.
How can I tell whether I have a simple drain clog or a bigger sewer problem?
If one sink or fixture is draining slowly, the issue may be limited to that drain. If multiple drains are backing up at once, sewer odors are noticed, or the lowest fixtures in the home show signs first, that points toward a larger drain or sewer issue. Recurring problems in older Seattle homes often warrant a thorough evaluation rather than repeated clearing of the same symptom.
What should I do before the plumber arrives for an emergency?
If safe to do so, shut off the water source to the affected fixture or home, clear the area around the problem, and avoid using drains or fixtures that may feed into the issue. This is especially important with burst pipes, sewer backups, and water heater failures.
Can You Help With Drain And Sewer Problems In Seattle?
Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Seattle handles both drain and sewer issues including drain cleaning, sewer camera inspections, trenchless sewer repair, sewer line repair and replacement, and emergency plumbing when needed. Persistent or multiple drain problems often require a full line evaluation.

Mr. Rooter to the rescue! We have been loyal Mr. Rooter customers for plumbing needs at two properties. They are always polite, quick, and know how to get the job done. We have also found their pricing to be fair and scheduling is a breeze. This week we had Daniel and his team (Pablo and Latrell) out to our home to hydro scrub our side sewer in preparation for a home sale. The crew was quick, left our back yard clean and tidy, and they provided a video recording and images of their work for us to give to our realtor. Daniel was available via text as well, which made communication easy. 10/10 would hire again!

A sewer pipe burst on a holiday weekend at my mother’s house. Mr. Rooter came out right away and had their team working from start to finish. They cleaned everything up and fixed the problem. They were all very professional and kind. I highly recommend this company. They explained everything with clarity and gave us options. I hope I don’t leave anyone out, Ken, Atama, Arvind, Solo, Brian and Suk, I can’t thank you enough!

Do you ever have one of those experiences with a Company that blows you away. I had a kitchen drain back up and I filled out a couple of service requests with some well know companies. I won't mention names but after tonight it's "Bye Bob". Anyway. Mr. Rooter called me right back and said same day between 4pm-7PM. Shaquille showed up at 5 and went right to work. Every company needs someone like Shaquille. Smart, courteous, explained everything he was doing. He was careful about not making a mess and really cleaned up after himself. I wish every service call from any company had a Shaquille. When he left both my wife and I were smiling. She h...

I’ve had excellent experiences with Mr Rooter across multiple appointments. The technicians are friendly, professional and very thorough. I have high confidence in the work they’ve done in my home and they’ve won my business for the long term. No it is not cheap, but no reputable plumber is cheap. They’ve been on time and prompt, and I’ve been able to schedule work done typically within 1-2 days.

Mr Rooter rerouted my kitchen drain from an external failing concrete 3inch line to a more direct to the stack route through the basement between the floor joists using 2inch pvc. it works perfectly. It looks clean and sturdy. Aric S., who did the work, was efficient, polite and friendly. I was pleased that he figured out a way to install it without causing an overhead obstruction and still be to code . lovely work. very happy to have a working kitchen drain.
