We had a Bosch dishwasher that wouldn't power on. The service provider told me that the part that was broken had been discontinued. He spent some time searching for it but found it to be unavailable anywhere but said that even if it could be found, it would be a $600 repair. We opted to wait a few months and purchase a new dishwasher. After our new dishwasher was installed (by a different company), we were talking to the installer who didn't know why we were getting a new one and he showed us the blown junction box, which was the ONLY problem with the old dishwasher. This is a $20 part that is readily available. Very unhappy to have paid close to $200 for a misdiagnosis of an inexpensive and basic repair, plus then nearly $1,000 for a new dishwasher delivered and installed that we didn't actually need.
