We were looking for a gate for our small courtyard, wanting to enclose it so our pups could enjoy the space with us. We wanted to have fun with it, so we went looking at custom gates to see if anyone was willing to take a little creative journey with us. We sent a pic of what was there, and received a quote.. I thought that was kind of odd, considering no one had come to take measurements, and none had been requested, though we did have an appointment scheduled between 7 and 9 am on a Friday. $9k to $13k is what the quote came back with. Understand, we're talking about a four foot by four and a half foot area here, we aren't the King trying to gate Graceland. We declined the quote and decided to do it ourselves. Lo and behold, around 2pm on Friday, there's a gentleman purporting to be from this company who says he has a scheduled appointment. We thank him for his time and state, again, we are not interested in working with them. $300 at Home Depot. $200 worth of metal art from Etsy, and we're very happy with our gate. This morning, the owner of the company called us to apologize for the unscheduled visit on Friday *and* attempt the hard sell AGAIN. Really, wholly unimpressed. I'm sure they have some great artists that do amazing work.. but they lack professionalism in leadership, and that's going to be an issue. Edited to add- so the person who already called today either wasn't the owner or the person replying to reviews isn't the owner. Who knows... but if you'll note, my name is ON THE REVIEW, and hopefully situations like this don't happen so frequently that the office can't figure out how to touch base. Lack of professionalism in action. Yeehaw. 2nd edit- I think what's below from the business speaks for itself. Yes, we did respond (per a button on the estimate email) that we were not interested in pursuing the project with the company. All I have left to say about this situation is to take a good, long look at the replies here. If this is the kind of professional working relationship you want to deal with on your project... good luck.
