What I liked about the service, the techs Nate and Chandler, did an assessment on December 26, on December 28, Modern Plumbing dispatcher called me to setup a time for December 29th to replace my water heater. The turn around was great. Due to the holidays I felt like the company had our best interest at heart. The tech walked me through how to use the shut off valves etc if need arise. They were professional also they cleaned up after the job was completed. That is why I gave them a five star rating. Modern Plumbing please Keep up the great customer service Sincerely one happy customer!
I almost never write reviews for companies but as a former contractor, I feel the need to comment on the unprofessional manner in which my service was handled. Not only was the plumber unable to repair my clog he left my tub in a worse state than when he arrived, he disassembled my overflow assembly to work on the drain which he left completely disassembled. Not only did he not reassemble my tub when I went to check on the work after they left I found that they had scuffed my wall up and did not mention that to me. Overall the experience was horrible, one I would never wish upon any homeowner or renter please avoid this unprofessional establishment!
During the installation of the 1st hot water heater they attempted to install before going to get a second water heater (in my opinion by the way it looked at the bottom of the unit, it was one that was returned) they damaged the wall and said nothing. I called and emailed the company and JJ sent a friend of his that slapped some stuff on the wall, left paint all over the 2nd water heater and called it a day. They did not smooth the dents out and lightly buffed the area before using the wrong paint bush to cover up the mess they made on my new wall. I never received a follow up to make sure everything was good. I called the day prior to ask about what kind of water heater was being installed and they could not tell me, I asked do they not keep inventory of what they have and the lady said I would get better or equivalent to what I had, they just pick one up from the warehouse. That wasn’t true, what was installed was not a better water heater than what I had. They over charged on supplies/out of pocket cost in my opinion that the warranty company does not cover. I would not recommend this company.
Edit to response: The person JJ sent to fix the dry wall left paint all over the water heater. It is a good thing I take pictures before and after any company who comes out. I also have the emails and phone numbers I can provide for proof/reference. I stated the water heater appeared used in my opinion and that statement remains new or not and the so does the picture. Your company or JJ friend did a crappy job bottom line repairing the wall, and I also have a video of when they damaged the wall. Yeah your company not the one you’re trying to put it off on. I can upload it if you like.
