Melton's provided quick response to our call on a Saturday afternoon. Doug arrived within an hour of call. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the ignitor need to fix our furnace even though we had an older furnace and the part was no longer available. Whew. He could have left, but found the cause of the failure, a clogged air filter. if he hadn't found this and cleaned the filter, the igniter would have failed again. Thanks to Melton Heating and to Doug!!!
I had an outstanding experience with my furnace and AC replacement from start to finish. Every person involved was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. The communication was clear at every stage—they took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and made sure I always knew what was happening next. A special thank‑you to Brian, Keegan, and Chandler. Each of them showed real care in their work and in the way they treated my home. They were patient, respectful, and made the entire process feel smooth and stress‑free. It’s rare to find a team that combines expertise with this level of customer service, but they absolutely delivered. I couldn’t be happier with the experience or the results. Highly recommend.
DON'T MESS AROUND -- just call MELTON'S ! They really are the very best in the Willamette Valley. Excellent customer service, fast & efficient repairs, and the NICEST people you could want to meet ! BRIAN HUSS was my repair person for my furnace on a cold January day. Within about 15 minutes, he had diagnosed the issue (an igniter) and had it swapped out for a new one. BRIAN is super nice guy, polite, efficient, and a pleasure to talk to ! Stop the searching already and just call MELTON'S.

My home was built in the late 1950s and I needed to replace my aging furnace and I wanted to upgrade to have AC! I shopped around Salem for two weeks getting quotes from several HVAC companies and the last one scheduled was Melton’s Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. Save yourself some time and hassle and START with Melton’s! Not only did I get what I needed but I got what I wanted and the products Melton’s use are tried and true brands I recognized with good warranties AND Melton’s had the best quote. Today, Jimmy and Frank showed up just after 8 AM and were here until roughly 6 PM. The old furnace was removed, the AC unit and the new furnace with all its required doodads for venting and such were installed. The electricians showed up mid morning to install the wiring and breakers. Later the old thermostat was replaced with a new thermostat. The thermostat was programmed and life is good! I should probably mention the furnace is under the house! I think what sold me on Melton’s was the no nonsense visit where I was given the options along with the pros and cons and a recommendation for what would best serve my needs. I went with the recommendation. Why?, because (1) they are the experts and know the HVAC world, (2) they know what is going to work best to meet my wants & needs and (3) I received an awesome quote that beat everyone else! The cherry on top was the single day install. If you want a company that will look at what you have, hear what you want and provide the best recommendation to accommodate your needs at the best possible price, give these guys a call.
