Jeremy didn't even look at my PC! I called explained my situation. He understood my problem and gave me sound advice on how to proceed. I am a very competent PC user so calling a repair shop really isn't something Ive ever done. Jeremy was spot on his over the phone diagnostics that clearly comes from being a master in his field. While this instance occurred some time ago, I feel as though other customers need to be aware of what can occur when choosing this business for a computer repair.
I researched many options for a Laptop Hinge Repair before choosing this business. Handing someone one of your most expensive and private devices is not an easy decision to make, but my laptop was no longer useable. The reviews were mostly good. I reached out via phone and went to the business in person with my laptop for repair.
After a day or two, the business reached back out to me via phone letting me know my laptop was ready to be picked up - fabulous! I was ecstatic. I spent many hours using my laptop with the broken hinge. The owner, I assume, even made arrangements for me to pick up the device closer to my home.
By the time I returned home and turned on the laptop, I was not happy whatsoever. The hinge was fixed, but my light up keyboard was no longer in the laptop. I had been made aware the keyboard also needed repair, due to the hinge, and paid for a new keyboard, with no backlight. My laptop also ran extremely slow now and I could not navigate anywhere on the device. According to the assumed owner, he had installed “anti-virus” protection that I had not asked for. And I can only assume, again, that the anti-virus software has caused the device to no longer work. OR another piece of the laptop was taken while it was being repaired.
What made me extremely upset, was when I made the business aware of this issue, they said they would replace the keyboard as long as I paid the price for a new one. How about paying the difference for the wrong one you put in and what the price of the new one would be? You’d be getting your keyboard back, and I would have still paid for it! I proceeded to then be ghosted by this establishment and was left feeling defeated. I have never gone to another repair shop because of how disheartened this experience made me feel.
Watch who you give your private devices to… and make sure you get every single piece back if you still decide to use this establishment.
