This establishment has been around for a long time and the gentleman running the business has been nothing less than a expert in repairs of my Wife’s Kirby. He has always been fair and truthful in all my dealings. I would recommend to anyone needed the help from a honest man.
I hate to leave a poor review. I love to visit with both of these men. They are knowledgeable, jolly and great at telling stories of their history. I have taken my sewing machines to them for over twenty years. The last three times I have had to tote the same machines back for the same issue. They are heavy and in tables. It’s a drive to get there. It’s a pain in the tush.
When I brought the first two machines in a second time, after the 90 day warranty (only because I hadn’t used it recently) I completely expected them to fix it without another charge. Wrong. I was told it was after the warranty, period, regardless that I just hadn’t used it since. I get it. Someone is going to use it, mess it up and try to bring it back for a free repair.
These guys know me and I have brought machines to them for a long long time. They know I am not trying to rob them.
The second time I thought, okay, I will just have to be sure to check any machine in-store while it was still there before I loaded it up. The third time I didn’t think to do so - and I paid $75 for none of the work to be completed. Just after I acquired the machine we started moving and I didn’t use it until after the 90 day warranty period.
After 3 times of a machine being with them for weeks, hauling the heavy thing back and forth, paying for service that wasn’t completed, I’m done.
It’s not worth hauling this heavy table and machine back to their shop. I do hope I can find someone else to fix it in my new area.
My advice, plug in your machine there at the shop. Sew on it, fill a bobbin, be sure reverse works and that it’s all oiled and humming like it should be. Tell Tim and Walt hello for me while you’re there.
If you want to get a sewing machine Or a vacuum cleaner repaired this is the place to go,I have a old vacuum and they did a FABULOUS job, l took it their because they repaired my sewing machine and did a great job with that too, if I could give them 10 stars l would.
